Rather Ripped, Rather Late

I've been planning to 'make' these tights for quite a long time, but due to lack of time I was postponing it endlessly. So about a week ago I've let my artistic creativity out and started to cut, and these are the effects;D I never thought that making ladders on the tights can be so hard! But I guess if you want to make them on purpose it's quite difficult, but if you are very careful..they just appear out of nowhere!
It's not really an everyday look for me, I guess I prefer more elegant clothes, but for a party... it's perfect...

My Own Summer. Ahoy Sailor!

I really really miss summer and the way you can dress at that time. It's definitely my favourite season of the year, and unfortunately I don't really get real summer in the place I'm living right now, namely Scotland;)). I looooong for hot summers I used to get in Poland. Winter etc are so barren and indistinguishable when it comes to day-to-day fashion. Every nicer piece of clothing gets hidden under coats and jackets.
I've bought these dresses last summer and I loved them from the start. They've got two themes going on which I absolutely love in fashion which are bows and nautical look...
I guess every summer implies nautical trend for me, because it's so characteristic of that season of the year and it reminds me of hot weather, fun and childhood ... and these dresses from ChicStar are just perfection! I love them so much that since I've bought them they're my favourite pieces for summer

Prima ballerina

I first loved the idea of a tutu or ballerina skirt, when I saw the opening of Sex and the City series and Carrie had that beautiful skirt on. And now that they're back (meaning they showed up in many stores) my love for them came back. I've bought a black tutu skirt from H&M, but I wanted a white one, which I couldn't find anywhere (I know that there was one in H&M, but apparently the store that's in my city didn't have them at all). That is why I've decided to make a skirt myself ...hmm... maybe not entirely myself;) When I went home for Christmas I've bought a couple of meters of tulle and some silk to go underneath the tulle. I wanted to sew it myself, but I didn't really know how to start, so I've asked my mum to help me. In the end it was me who helped her, because she did most of the work ;D P.S. That bow that's on the skirt on some pictures is a brooch and I was just trying how it would look like with some accessorizing ...

I really like how the skirt looks with a leather biker jacket ...

Down the Rabbit-Hole

I just love rabbits/bunnies in all shapes, sizes and forms, and on everything! That's why I couldn't resist buying that bunny print tshirt when I saw it on sale in Topshop. Rabbits, I guess, are one of my biggest obsessions - apart from BOWS (I'll cover the latter soon). That t-shirt, as some of you might know, was a part of a collection themed: 'Alice in Wonderland', which I adore - that's another reason to love this top;D I've also got my currently favourite pair of shoes on, which I recenly wear almost all the time! ;) I think their best look comes out with all sorts of dresses, skirts and the latex/leather leggings.

I have also got a bag that's got the same print as the t-shirt, which I've bought on sale as well ;)

HB's Adventures

I've bought my first pair of latex/leather look leggings a couple of months ago, and ever since I can't stop wearing them. For me the perfect shoe type for them would be a gladiator sandal, which you'll probably see me wearing in my future outfits (and which are my favourite pair of shoes at the moment!). The very first outfit involving the leggings that I've came up with is the one shown on the pictures, after that I started to combine them with black top tunic and gladiator sandals for more chic outfits and sometimes a leather jacket. I would see them go perfectly with a little white dress that I'm looking for as well, and for a more elegant look, with a tailored jacket.

Gossip Girlesque

To finish off the school uniform theme, I'm adding some of my outfits that are mostly inspired by Gossip Girl TV series, which apart from Sex and the City and Skins, is my favourite, and which I watch mainly for fashion purposes ^^.

I'm really sorry about the quality of the pictures and the fact that they're mirror-made, but until recently I didn't have a tripod for my camera ;)

School Uniforms

Ever since I've taken more interest in fashion I've totally fallen in love with the school-uniform look. After a while I got obsessed even more, and that's because Gossip Girl TV series was aired. I just adore this series and I guess I would want to have all the clothes that they've got there, especially Blair's.

I've come up with a couple ideas of my own both inspired by Gossip Girl and school uniforms in general how I envisaged them before. This is probably only one of many of my outfits inspired by this theme, so the next ones can be expected in the upcoming posts.

Finally, I have decided to start my first blog on its own. Previously, I've only had blogs which are one of many on fashion community websites, therefore they did not have their own internet addresses. I'll try to make my posts depict my style, fashion desires and, probably, music, films and TV series.
We'll see how regular I'll be ... ^^
